ART DIRECTION, ILLUSTRATION, VISUAL PRESENTATION
The amika brand decided to open a style-only salon in Brooklyn, which called for a unique identity. For the signature logo of the three different hairstyles, we took reference from Alexander Girard's simple and elegant illustrations. We aimed for the identity to be inclusive and diverse, opening the doors for all hairstyles and hair types.
One of the major challenges was the constant maintenance around a salon. It took a lot of attention, but we created a safe space for hairstylists to express themselves and their unique approaches.
THE DETAILS
Taking inspiration from New York City's famous subway cards, our customer loyalty cards also had round egdes, matte finishes, and magnetic stripes.
